Um.... Did my "cherry pop"?

Ok, this is a little embarring but I need an answer. Me and my boyfriend were messing around and he was me... then all of a sudden he said I was bleeding. It didn't exactly hurt at first, but it hurt in a kind of... i don't know. sensual way i guess. But yeah I'm really confused. Does this mean my cherry popped? And if it did, am I still a virgin? Again, kind of embarring
